Great Content Has A Kick In It

So you feel your content is good, it is great. You want to know why it should be made even better. This is because better content can lure more sales revenue. Let us see what differentiates ‘good’ from ‘great’ content.

Is the content Fresh? It should not be material from other websites, revamped and rephrased. It should show a new angle and have current information not found elsewhere. Test your content by seeking to determine whether it has an original idea. Whether it will leave the reader in awe, thinking there was something new that I learnt. If it does not pass this test, your content is certainly not great, though it may be good.

Does your content show Creativity? This does not mean it is based on fiction; it is the ability to show that the information can be related to real life situations, and is just not a collection of facts. No need to add emotionally charged words; just add a sense of humor and wit, or an unusual event to grip the readers’ attention, so long as it serves the purpose without causing much damage to your cause. In any event, it is pleasing to go through content that is creative, crisp and succinct.

Is the content concise? Try using few words so that the reader does not get bogged down. People want effortless reading material, without having to try and re-read to understand what is being said. They will simply switch over to another place. Just give your message over in as brief a manner as possible.

Is the content Easy to Understand and Simple? Convey your message in a simple manner using as less words as possible. Bear in mind that only 50% Americans are able to read a book for the 8th grade. 20% are able to read at 5th grade or lower. Therefore, try to aim for 7th and 6th grade level in the content unless you want to leave half the population out. Personally, I do not wish that 50% Americans are turned off due to the use of difficult words in the content I use. If the words you use are simple the content will be easier understood. Have Strong content. The content should be strong, just like your coffee, with a kick in it. I like strong coffee and my contents should also have extra strength.

Is your content strong? I prefer my content to be strong, like my coffee. The content needs to have a kick in it and have that much more strength. Do not beat about the bush. Your language should be expressive, do not mince words, use “skyrocketed” instead of “increased”, and “take action now-your future depends on it.” instead of “call today”. Write “earn 7 figures a year” in place of “financial security”. Make your content powerful. The only way it can be so is if you use powerful words.

Check if this is having the desired effect. It is most important that your content is doing what it is intended to do. You need not worry, as you can easily get the results with the ability of the internet to track everything for you.

You will be able to track the links if it is about article marketing used for link bait. You will be able to track the number of people clicking on your website. If the results are not to your expectations then the contents might not be that great. It does require some extra time and effort to make the content great. But if can also result in a great sales performance – so give your contents that spice.
