Fun Learning All Summer – Keep Your Child’s Brain Active
Picture your child’s brain as a muscle. When not in use, it is left to atrophy, weaken, lose its conditioning. The brain needs to be “flexed” on a regular basis with very real thought processes. We’re not talking “reptilian responses” here, we’re talking real conscious thought. Without this “flexing” the brain will begin to fail. Use it or lose it. This expression applies to your brain just as well as it applies to all your muscles. The question parents need to ask is, “During summer vacation, is my child “losing it”?”
